Regina's Wascana Park
Wascana Park is located in the centre of
the City of Regina and is officially known
as Wascana Centre. The park covers a
total area of 2300 acres, 2000 of which
is land, 300 of which is water. Most of the
trees at home in the park have been hand
planted creating a virtual oasis on the
previously treeless prairie.
Wascana Park is one of the largest urban
parks in North America, larger than even
Central Park in New York City.
Wascana Park is presently managed and
maintained by the Wascana Centre
Authority.
