Allergies

There are all kinds of allergies. People can be allergic to pet hair, certain foods, dust, smoke, pollen from flowers, or almost anything else. An allergic reaction is like a cold. The person sneezes, has runny eyes and a runny nose, and coughs whenever they come in contact with the thing they're allergic to.

Everybody is different. Some people are allergic to lots of things, and others aren't allergic to anything. Your allergies are inherited from your parents, so if your family has a history of allergies, there is a good chance that you will have the same allergies.

There are some medications to help treat allergies, but the best treatment is avoiding the thing you're allergic to.
