In the Snuneymuxw area, hair from wooly white dogs was used for various types of things like blankets, rugs, mats, sweaters, stockings, and hats. The people also used mountain goat fur, duck feathers, wild hemp and cedar bark. Shoes were not worn in the warmer weather, but moccasins made from hide were used in colder weather; in the colder seasons they also wore shirtlike garments with a robe or poncho made of cedar bark. Hunters wore hide outfits that had pointed hoods, skirts, leggings, mittens, moccasins and, in the mountains, snowshoes if they were required.

Typical clothing was made of wool, woven cedar bark or cattails, hides and other 'natural fibres'!
