Catherwood Crescent:

Ethel Catherwood was a native of Scott, Saskatchewan who attended Bedford Road School in Saskatoon. In 1928 Ms. Catherwood won the gold medal in women’s high jump at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam. She was nicknamed “The Saskatoon Lily” by reporters who were impressed by her athletic ability and beauty.
