Hayes Crescent:

Is named after Thomas Patrick Hayes who was Regina’s Chief of Detectives for 14 years. Mr. Hayes later became the warden of the Regina Correctional Centre after leaving the police force. Thomas Hayes also served overseas as part of the Allied Expeditionary Force during the First World War.

Thomas Hayes was a member of the Regina Public Library Board of Directors from 1954 to 1964. He was also the President of the Boy Scouts Association and a member of the Regina Separate School Board. He is also the founder of the Regina Old Irish Society.
