Molloy Road:

Thomas M. Molloy, otherwise known as the “father of Saskatchewan Credit Unions” came to the North West Territories in 1883. A printer by trade, Thomas Molloy worked for both The Brandon Times and later The Regina West and The Regina LeaderPost.

Mr. Molloy was the President of the Regina Typographical Union and the first President of the Regina Trades and Labour Council in 1907.

Thomas Molloy served as a fair wage officer with the Provincial Government in 1909 and was appointed Deputy Minister of Labour in 1927. In 1953 he was awarded the King George Silver Jubilee Medal in recognition for his years of public service.
