Wesson Bay:

In 1936 John H. Wesson became the first President of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture, a post he held until 1940. From 1942 to 1959 he lead various delegations to Ottawa on behalf of prairie farmers in demand of more money for farm produce.

In 1946 John Wesson was named Commander of the Order of the British Empire. In 1961 he was granted an honourary Doctorate of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan and in 1968 he was named to the Canadian Agriculture Hall of Fame.
