Quebec
(Montmorency Falls)
The
most interesting natural object in the vicinity of Quebec
is the Falls of Montmorency, about nine miles below
the city. Here the Montmorency River plunges into the
St. Lawrence over a precipice 250 feet high, which is
100 feet higher than the great cataract of Niagara.
An elevator runs from below the Falls to a recreation
park of the railway company above.
