Quebec (Montmorency Falls)

The most interesting natural object in the vicinity of Quebec is the Falls of Montmorency, about nine miles below the city. Here the Montmorency River plunges into the St. Lawrence over a precipice 250 feet high, which is 100 feet higher than the great cataract of Niagara. An elevator runs from below the Falls to a recreation park of the railway company above.
