Quebec (The Basilica, Ste. Anne de Beaupre)

The far-famed shrine of La Bonne Sainte Anne is 22 miles from Quebec, below Montmorency Falls. It has been the Mecca of devout pilgrims seeking a renewal of health for over 250 years, and is probably the most highly venerated shrine in America. The church is a massive and beautiful structure of gray stone. Within are huge pyramids of crutches and canes left by cripples and invalids healed by the intercession of the saint.
