ACTIVITY THREE: Make Your Family Tree
Materials Needed
A Family Tree Picture (download from here)
A pen or felts
Names of family members (grandparents, etc.) and birth dates
Small pieces of Paper and glue (or stickers)

Activity Steps
1) Look at the Tod family tree. Click here to Print the
blank tree.
2) Fill in your family's names and birth dates on the stickers. Stick these on
the tree in the appropriate place.
3) Make it into a poster or put it in a book with the next activityGenealogy.
Possible Discussion topics
- How old are your grandparents? What was happening in the world when they were your age?
- Were they born in Canada or did they immigrate from another country?
- What was happening when your parents were your age? How did they dress?
- Are there names that are passed down through your family for generations?
