TOD AND THE FIRST NATIONS
This activity set is designed to show students the First Nations way of life during a period of Canadian history when the fur trade prospered. Students will discuss the Aboriginal culture and social system by completing the activities listed below.
FRIENDS AND FAMILY
These activities are designed to give students a better understanding of life in 19th Century Canada. The purpose of this is to give students an idea of the structure of family and to interest them in researching their own family's history.
TOD HOUSE
This activity set is designed to expose students to an understanding of the architectural process, and the importance of heritage architecture to our lives today. Students will discuss such architectural concepts as blue prints, architectural details, heritage preservation, community development and basic architectural vocabulary.
