Aimee
Lee is a Chinese Canadian painter. She was born in Xian, China.
When she was five years old, one of her drawing was published in
a magazine. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts and taught painting
and drawing for eight years at an institute of fine arts in China.
She received important awards such as Award of Excellence of the
National Fine Arts Exhibition, Beijing, China.
In 1990, she immigrated to Canada and continues to explore the art
of painting. She is currently teaching painting, drawing and
Chinese calligraphy at the Saidye Bronfman Centre School of Fine
Arts and the Visual Art Centre, Montreal, Quebec.
From 1978 to 1996, she has participated in numerous solo and group
exhibitions in China, Hong Kong and Canada, among them Essence,
at the Saidye Bronfman Centre, Montreal, Quebec. In 1996, she receives
the Certificate of Honour of the World Famous Chinese Artists.
Many of her works are found in public and private collections such
as the National Museum of Fine Arts of China.
