Textiles: Hacking the Museum, 1996
installation view. Images of textile objects from the Marsil Museum,
Québec, have been photographed directly into a laptop computer,
manipulated in Photoshop and transmitted through the Internet to
the Glassbox Gallery in Salford, Manchester. Ten images are sent
daily for five days, and gallery assistants begin to reconstruct
them through various stitching techniques.
