Carmelle
Martineau studied at Laval University of Québec.
Since 1985, she participated in numerous workshops in Canada and
abroad: Graff, in Montréal, Open Studio inToronto, Malaspina
in Vancouver and la Bête à Cornes in Paris.
In 1991, she completed her training at l' atelier Pons de Paris.
Since 1989, she took part in various solo exhibitions: Rivière-du-loup
(Musée du Bas-Saint-Laurent, au Bout de la 20), Vancouver
(Malaspina Gallery), Québec (Galerie 67), Montréal
(Galerie Loto-Québec), Aylmer
(L' Imagier), Carleton (Vaste et Vague), and Matane
(Galerie d' Art de Matane). She has also exhibited in many biennal
shows in France, Germany, Japan and USA.
She was awarded Lauréate du Concours d' estampe Loto-Québec
in 1991. She is the founding member of Les tailleurs d' image,
Québec in 1995.
