Grace
Gouin is nurse, artist and writer. She is the co-founder of art
center 1962 and of Ress-Art Association for artists in Montreal.
From 1993-1997, she wrote two books of poetry. She has taken part
in numerous exhibitions in Montreal, Quebec, U.S.A., Spain, from
1960 to 2000.
She was awarded the Suzor Côté Prize, Honorable Mention
for Achievement in the Art in 1967, Honorable Mention for Poetry
from the Société Littéraire Paul Guth, France,
Woman of the year 1995, Women Achievements in 1996 and Mention of
Excellence: Abstract Art in 1999.
Grace is also member of the following organizations: International
Women Artists. Peinture du Québec, Pluralisme in Art. Cercle
des Artistes Peintres au Québec. Artothèque de Montreal,
Canadian Writer's Society and the Société Historique
de Montréal. Her works are included in public and private
collections.
