Artist's Statement:
My paintings are an exploration of the emotional content of relationships. The relationships which form the essence of my work are between man and woman, parent and child, and friend with friend.

Color is a very important element of my work. Shape and form make explosive and harmonious emotions tangible, the use of color defines the form and profundity of the emotions. With color, I attempt to convey and inherent excitement and sensuality. I use strokes and lines to communicate both energy and determination. Textures and layering evoke the levels of complexity.

Strong inner feelings are given form in an attempt to discover the meaningful aspects of relationships between people. Ultimately, a greater personal understanding enables universal understanding.
