This unique formation known as Digby Neck and
the Islands gives visitors a great opportunity to view a wide variety
of birds and plant life. Brier Island
is the last stopping point for birds heading south during migration
and provides them with a gathering point before starting their long
journey south. On Long Island one can find the Balancing Rock Trail
which leads to one of the most photographed and recognizable landmarks
in the Maritimes. You can also use one of the numerous whale-watching
companies, which allows you to leave dry land and view these majestic
creatures in their own habitat. These guided tours allow you to learn
more about the complex marine life found in our waters.
