When you mention Kejimkujik National Park, most people think of a place to go camping with their family for a few weeks each year. While the park does provide a vacation getaway for many people it is also an important research centre. Since 1994 there have been over 80 research and monitoring projects carried out within the park.

These projects provide valuable information on plant and animal populations, migrations, breeding habits and trends as well as data on environmental situations such as acid rain and their impact on the Eco-system. The park provides researchers with an area in which outside influences are more controlled than in other locations not protected by National Park status. We have provided a list of some projects that have been conducted in the park since 1994. For more specific information on some of these projects you can visit them at the Keji's Web Site.
