The President of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada

The President of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada is a ministerial position, currently residing within the Prime Minister's portfolio. The position carries certain statutory responsibilities, and the President of the Privy Council is the Minister responsible for the following acts of Parliament:

  • Public Service Staff Relations Act;
  • Canadian Transportation Accident Investigation and Safety Board Act;
  • Parliamentary Employment and Staff Relations Act; and
  • Oaths of Allegiance Act.
