New Blue-Stamping of Regulations Process Requirement from the Department of Justice

As of December 1, 2003, the Department of Justice will introduce a new process requirement for departments who wish to proceed with final approval and registration of regulations by the Special Committee of Council or, in the case of non-Governor in Council regulations, the registration of regulations.

Departments must return to Department of Justice after pre-publication for the new blue-stamped copies of the proposed regulations prior to final approval and/or registration, whether or not changes have been made to the version of the regulations published in the Canada Gazette Part I.
