PRIME MINISTER ANNOUNCES SENIOR STAFF CHANGE

Ottawa, Ontario

Prime Minister Jean Chrétien today announced the following change to the ranks of his senior staff:

John Milloy, who has been Legislative Assistant to the Prime Minister since September of 1997 is leaving the Prime Minister's Office to pursue other opportunities. In making this announcement the Prime Minister expressed his very deep appreciation to Mr. Milloy for the exemplary manner in which he has carried out his important duties.

Kenneth Polk, who has been the Prime Minister's Deputy Director of Communications since December of 2001 will assume the role of Legislative Assistant. Mr. Polk joined the Press Office in June of 1997. He joined the Prime Minister's Office on November 4, 1993.
