- Pregnancies equal the sum of live births, fetal loss, and induced abortions.
- Rates are based on the population of women aged 15-49 years.
- There are some differences between the counts and rates presented in Pregnancy outcome by age group table and those in the Induced abortions by age group table. Differences are due to the increased estimation of age groups in the Pregnancy outcome table, and the use of different populations in the calculation of the rate for ‘All ages’. For more information, see the Methodology and data quality section of Pregnancy outcomes (82-224-XWE).
