The CBSA's mandate is to ensure the free flow of persons and goods across Canada's borders all while ensuring that Canada's national security and public safety priorities are supported. In enforcing the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, the Customs Act and over 90 other laws and acts of parliament on behalf of our federal partners, the CBSA's border officers take thousands of facilitation, seizure and enforcement actions on a daily basis. The statistics in this section of our website offer a quarterly snapshot of the hard work done by our officers every day of the year.
