Refit to facilitate arrivals at Montréal-Trudeau Airport

Montréal, Quebec, June 6, 2013 — The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) have added two new exit corridors for international travellers that will accelerate arrival clearances at Montréal-Trudeau Airport. With just a few days to go before the Grand Prix of Canada Formula 1 race, an event that traditionally kicks off the summer season, these new corridors are timely and will expedite traveller processing and improve traffic flow through the international arrivals exit area.

This refit provides an additional exit corridor for regular travellers as well as one dedicated for NEXUS members.

"These new corridors reflect CBSA's commitment to securely and effectively administering Canada's ports of entry while providing the best possible service to travellers," said Benoît Chiquette, CBSA Director General for the Quebec Region.

NEXUS is designed to expedite the border clearance process for low-risk, pre-approved travellers into Canada and the United States. This joint Canada-US program aims to simplify border crossings for participants while strengthening security for both countries. There are five NEXUS kiosks at Montréal-Trudeau Airport available for members.

NEXUS members can also use the dedicated Trusted Traveller Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) Security Line at Montréal-Trudeau Airport and other major Canadian airports, allowing them quicker access to the pre-boarding security checkpoints.
