Bell Island Bell Island The goals of this Web site are to provide an up-to-date source of information for tourists interested in visiting Bell Island, to enable local businesses to have a greater Web presence and to give local and former residents an effective means of keeping in touch. It achieves all three goals in several ways. The Attractions page highlights some of the things that any visitor to Bell Island should make an effort to see. The Accommodations page provides contact information for the various Bed and Breakfasts on the Island. There is a Tourist Information page which provides specific information such as maps, ferry schedule and other general points of interest. It provides a Business Directory and a Services Directory. The history of Bell Island is given with several full text articles and a photo album with numerous photos. A Guestbook and a links page are provided. The local interest section does several things. It provides e-mail addresses for current and former residents. There is a message board, a community bulletin board and an on-line Bell Island Discussion Forum. It supplies the Community Policing News Letter, a list of books and magazines about Bell Island and a News Archive. A What's New page is also supplied. Gander Town of Gander This Web site begins with a colourful page incorporating the town crest, photos and the Silent Witnesses Memorial. A search engine is available for the site. There is a direct link to the page promoting the Gander Community Centre Seat Sponsorship Program. An overview of the town is provided, giving its history and descriptions and photos of its coat of arms, flag and mascot, "Commander Gander".
