NovaSource (Nova Scotia's Information Directory) This is the Web version of a guide developed in 1996 by Nova Scotia Records Management to identify the "functions of all departments, boards, agencies and commissions along with the types of records that are collected and maintained". The departments, agencies, boards and commissions identified are those whose information is subject to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIPOP) Act. Each of these organizations is outlined individually and includes such information as organizational overview; mandate and functions; legislation; programs and services; and publications. The body of NovaSource is categorized by operational and administrative records. There is a section about the FOIPOP Act which explains the application process through to the appeal process.
