Agricorp
Agricorp is a crown corporation, formed in 1997 to provide crop insurance plus business consulting services to farmers in Ontario. There is a short history of the Corporation and lengthy explanation of its structure, financing and mission, followed by a series of short explanations of each of its operations - crop insurance, market revenue, Grain Financial Protection Program and business services in separate sections. Each of these has a variable top menu bar which reveals the presence of additional detail, for example, crop plans by crop type, searchable lists of grain dealers and elevator operators and other documents. More information in the form of fact sheets, forms and other documents is available in the Resource Library. The items in the library may be viewed by type or in one long list. FAQs on Agricorp's services are organized in a similar fashion in another section. A crop insurance calculator is offered but is currently under revision and not available. Users of this information are encouraged to call the organization for a quote. An events calendar highlights important dates for the next year with the added feature of requesting an e-mail reminder as the date approaches. Interested users may also subscribe to a notification service for news and new additions to the site in selected categories - by crop or type of release. There are also details of job openings at the Corporation. Significant new additions to the site are highlighted on the main page, as well as being available in a What's New section which has a searchable archive covering the past two years. The site has an annotated list of related links and is navigated by side and top bars with a pull-down menu which functions as a site map.
