GovInfo.Ca : Prince Edward Island Official Canadian government site
Database of "over 1200 records" pertaining to federal, provincial, and municipal programs and services on P.E.I. The Directory page lists 24 categories or subject areas, which contain links to sub-categories and then Web sites or pages containing various information for government services and programs. The Search page contains Quick Search (keyword or phrase) and Power Search where limiters are community, government building, department/municipality with choices within these available in drop down menus, or use "anywhere on PEI" and search by keyword. Power search also allows limit options of program, license, service, or permit. Many searches lead to InfoPEI Web pages, which are part of the PEI government's Web site. Provincial government information may still be as easily found by searching the PEI government Web site or using the InfoPEI search within it. GovInfo.ca's attempt to provide "one stop" for all PEI government services and programs is not entirely successful but hopefully will evolve into a more complete and easily searched database. A link is provided on the home page to a combined telephone directory for all 3 levels of government on PEI.
