Canadians served on the International Commissions for Supervision and Control (ICCs) in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. These commissions were set up by the Geneva Conference of 1954 on a "troika" (Russian for "three") model, with, at the time, a Communist state (Poland), a Western state (Canada) and a neutral state (India) as members. Here the members of the commission discuss the results of their inspection of a boat in the port of Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam. PA-146523 |
