The London Aquatic Centre, architectural presentation drawing, 1998 , by Ronald Keenberg

Architect Ronald Keenberg was born in Winnipeg in 1941. He has been described as a "progressive" architect and a "radical conservative." This is one of his presentation drawings, which won the competition for the London Aquatic Centre. It proposed two buildings, a training pool and a leisure centre. Only the pool facility was built.

One of his major commissions was for a literally "conservative" institution, the National Archives' Preservation Centre in Gatineau, Quebec. Built to last for a thousand years, it houses many of our country's national treasures.
