NOTICE TO CLIENTS

New fee structure for photographic, digital, audio-visual and microform reproductions

Starting October 1st, 2003, the fee for the provision of photographic, digital, microform and audio-visual reproductions will increase.

Beside the new fee introduced by private sector suppliers, the National Archives is introducing a new 20 percent service fee based on the rate charged by the suppliers to partially recover the cost of producing print masters (copy negatives, transparencies, microfilm reels and microfiches) and for the work involved in preparing the material. We have taken this step following a two-week consultation process that ended on November 15, 2002 and a Ministerial approval received in January 2003.
