Summary:
Scientific anecdotal evidence and common sense show that fish farming should only be allowed in contained facilities.

Submission:
I strongly believe, through scientific, anecdotal evidence, as well as 'common sense', that fish farming should only be allowed in contained, 'out of the ocean' facilities, with rigorous, non-industry oversight and state of the art filtration and disease prevention mechanisms. The recent public reporting of a transmissible form of leukemia in salmon, the ongoing difficulties in the industry making public their full records, and government's side-stepping of the issue in view of the industry's economic benefits, indicates that the current methods of operation are inadviseable, unsustainable, and environmentally unsound in the extreme.
