Submission:
Dear Premier Clark,
Thank you for releasing the provincial salmon farm disease records. Unfortunately, withholding this critical information until now has harmed the people of the province of BC who depend on salmon, for food, culture, sport, tourism, as well as the health of our rivers and wildlife. I request that you and your cabinet ministers continue the process and to use your authority to ensure the health of our wild salmon for generations to come. It is the shared responsibility of your government and that of the DFO to take the appropriate actions to make every effort to restore wild salmon to thriving numbers, as in the fall of 2010. The logical and scientific conclusion to ensure long term viability of this important resource includes the removal of fish farms in BC’s coastal waters.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
Phil Dubrulle
