Submission:
Please take the necessary steps to protect our wild salmon stocks.

I teach at the Nanaimo River Fish Hatchery each spring and fall. I teach students about how salmon are an important part of a healthy ecosystem; the salmon need the trees and the trees need the salmon; the bears need the salmon and the salmon need the bears. Everything in the ecosystem is reliant on every other living thing in that ecosystem.

Fish farms must be moved onto the land to protect our wild salmon from disease introduced by the farmed salmon.

Wild salmon are an integral part of B.C.'s economy and health.
