The attached documents describe the Secwepemc people's efforts to protect the Salmon River delta from development. The presentation outlines the history of the Secwepemc people, explains the delta's environmental significance, and suggests that the federal government's fiduciary duty to protect aboriginal title, the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, and the Convention on Biological Diversity all require the proposed Salmon River delta development to have the prior informed consent of the Secwepemc people.
