Summary:
Fish farms should not be permitted to dump hazardous waste onto the ocean floor.

Submission:
There are good arguments for and against the question of open-net fish farming practices harming our salmon, however we can't ignore what happens underneath the pens. Pure devastation of the ocean floor. Hazardous waste dumping is prohibited so why are fish farms exempt?

This is an article reporting on the devastation caused by fish farms in the Broughtons. It was written by A. Morton, and highlights the side effects of the so called "toxic waste".
It appears that the addition of nutrients in an area strip mined of its original biomass by nets, can have significant restorative results.
