Submission 1076-TOLTON

Summary:
The hearings on ISAv should be live streamed.

Submission:
It is an affront to deny the public who are unable to attend the proceedings of the Commission access through live streaming technology. The public is affected by the outcome of this Commission, the public pays for this Commission. What possible justification can the government have for this cavalier denial?
I urge the Commission to reconsider this unreasonable stand; at the very least it places the Commission under a cloud of suspicion suggesting that it is subject to some political agenda. Well, is it independent or is it not. The perception of one or the other by the public may well be influenced by this decision. Given previous unfortunate decisions by the Commission there is already a negative impression of the body's bias towards the very government policies it purports to review.
I urge you to do the right thing and make the stream available to the public over the Internet.
