Summary:
The Port Hardy, Browns Bay and Walcan on Quadra Island, farmed fish processing plants are spewing raw effluent and should never have been allowed to set up at those strategic locations. The two processing plants by Quadra and Campbell River are right at the very bottleneck of where the tides converge and carry everything up with them through the Seymour Narrows and into the northern waters, while the Port Hardy location tides ensure everything comes south. These fish farms are willing to destroy their own stock for a year or two to get rid of wild salmon forever to make billions.

If one were truly concerned about wild fish welfare then the Port Hardy, Browns Bay and Walcan on Quadra Island, farmed fish processing plants spewing raw effluent would never have been allowed to set up at these strategic locations.....these locations are world renown for their huge tidal currents, apparently the largest in the northern hemisphere....and the two processing plants by Quadra and Campbell River are right at the very bottleneck of where the tides converge and carry everything up with them through the seymour narrows and into the northern waters, while the Port Hardy location tides ensure everything comes south....very suspicious as just one truck costs $169.95 to ferry over to Quadra and the campbell river ferry authority told me they sometimes have up to 10 trucks per day....how can they justify to their shareholders and why would they spend thousands of dollars extra just to harvest their fish when it can be done much cheaper elsewhere???....But who would ever believe these fish farms are willing to destroy their own stock for a year or two to get rid of wild salmon forever.....give up millions to make billions in the oil, logging, mining and hydroelectric daming industries.... |
