Summary:
Farmed salmon should be harvested in a manner that isolates them from the natural ecosystem.

Submission:
Although currently living in Calgary I grew up in Burns Lake B.C. and would attend the public hearings if it was possible. I am STRONGLY against open net salmon farming and believe it is a joke that our government allows such a clearly destructive practice to happen in Canadian waters. Farmed salmon may have a place in society but they should be harvested in a manner which isolates them from the natural ecosystem and they should be clearly labelled as 'farmed' when sold.
