Summary:
The hearings on ISAv should be live streamed.

Submission:
I am president of a conservation society that is involved in a parallel issue on land. The challenge is to enable the public to access primary sources in an engaging and feasible way. Drawing on that experience, I suggest that the methods that the Cohen Commission uses are part of the solution to the underlying problem (the mysterious decline of Pacific wild salmon) that led to the need for the commission. In that context, I urge the commission to allow live streaming of the upcoming three days of hearings related to the ISA virus. Please allow as many citizens as possible to become involved in the issue in this way so that we can come to informed opinions through primary sources, rather than just through people like Alexandra Morton and Mary Ellen Walling. For the commission and us ordinary citizens, the hope for success can only benefit from broad constructive participation by all who care deeply.
