Summary:
It is clear that open net fish farms pose significant risks to natural ecology. The DFO, the provincial government, and the Cohen Commission should protect the environment for future generations by halting all open net operations and only allow closed containment farming until and unless the open net method can be proven to not have a detrimental impact on natural ecology.
