Summary:
If there are going to be fish farms at all they must move to contained tanks on land.

Submission:
I strongly oppose the existence of fish farms in the open waters of the British Columbia coast, particularly near the migration routes of wild salmon. If there are going to be fish farms at all they must move to contained tanks on land, where the diseases, sea lice and waste won’t be placing the wild salmon at risk.

Comment:
I find it intolerable that the government can so easily dismiss historical evidence that fish farming as it exists now is damaging to wild fish stocks. I believe that if fish farms need to exist they should be placed on land,in a controlled environment where antibiotics and sea lice cannot affect wild fish stocks.
