Summary:
The survival of Fraser River salmonids is, in part, dependent upon the collaborative efforts of the public, Environment Canada (EC) and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO). Unfortunately, the public partner is being short-changed, as was demonstrated by EC and DFO's ineffective investigation and response to the May 2009 fish kill in the North Alouette River.
