Ottawa May 26, 2010 -
The Oliphant Commission of Inquiry will deliver its report to the Governor
General in Council on Monday, May 31st, 2010. The Privy Council Office
has just informed the Commission that it will release the report publicly
at 1 pm EDT.
The media release plans for the Commission are as
follows:
1:00 EDT Commissioner Jeffrey J. Oliphant delivers a statement on his
report. Due to the quasi-judicial nature of the report, Commissioner Oliphant
will not respond to questions. Approx. time 20 - 25 minutes. Location:
Government Conference Centre, 2 Rideau St., Ottawa, Sussex Room.
1:30 EDT Lead Commission Counsel, Richard Wolson, Q.C. and Commission
Counsel Nancy Brooks, Evan Roitenberg and Giuseppe Battista will answer
questions about the report. Approx. time 30-45 minutes. Location: Government
Conference Centre.
Richard Wolson will be available for a limited number of media interviews.
