Aquaculture in open water is not safe for producing healthy fish for human consumption nor for the health and wall-being of wild fish in nearby waters. There are not adequate controls on the food fed to farmed fish to ensure that the feed does not contain PCBs, pesticides, heavy metals, or other toxins. Moreover, the fish are very confined, making diseases easily spread, including to the wild fish population outside the bounds of the fish farm. This happens with sea lice as well, which weaken the fish and harm the heartiness of the population. Aquaculture in open water is simply far too risky, and should be stopped until the time comes when the safety of the food stocks and the wild fish populations can be adequately protected.

"emamectin benzoate" (EB) called SLICE" is used on fish farms. Here is a link to one Chinese manufacturer of SLICE who claims it is "High Toxic to Fish"

Here is a link to Canadian Science Advisory Secretariat, where we learn that fish farms release SLICE directly into the ocean.

I agree that Aquaculture in open water is not safe for producing healthy fish (farmed or wild). It appears that fish farms add a threat to wild fish by killing sea lice and releasing SLICE.
