After attending mutliple days of the aquaculture component of the Cohen Commission, I feel it would be a dis-service to the process, and a potential negligence on behalf of the commission, to not allow Dr. Alexandra Morton report as evidence to be weighed. Though she was not given expert status, and has never claimed to be an expert on disease, her long-term contributions in both peer-review science, coastal conservation, her unique position as an independant voice to whom many people , both in research and industry, come to in confidence, and her thorough examination of the commission documents place her in a very unique position. Her 50 page document is merely pointing out information that was available to all in the commission process, and suggesting areas for experts to pursue in depth based on her unique crossover experience and observation. |
