Died Jan. 24, 2001, aged 76; survived by his wife, Phyllis, and 6 children.

Died Feb. 1, 2001, aged 74; survived by her companion, Amy Booth.

Laufer, Srul T., Halifax; University of Napoli (Italy), 1930; internal medicine; FACP, FACC, FAHA, FRCPC; former chief of medicine, Halifax Infirmary; emeritus professor, Dalhousie University; consultant, Maritime Life Assurance Company. Died Jan. 28, 2001, aged 97. His obituary stated: "He had to leave Europe to escape Nazi persecution."

Livingstone, Arthur G., Lethbridge, Alta.; University of Alberta, 1945; urology; FRCSC. Died Jan. 21, 2000, aged 84; survived by 3 children.

McIntyre, Donald N., Winnipeg; University of Manitoba, 1938; MCFP; RCAF, WW II; general practice; former chief of staff and chair, Board of Directors, Misericordia General Hospital; president, Manitoba Medical Association; member, Committee on Economics, CMA; founding member and chair, Board of Trustees, Manitoba Medical Services; founding member, College of Family Physicians of Canada; senior member, CMA. Died Feb. 22, 2001; survived by his wife. He spent time in general practice with his father in Winnipeg. He was also a special adviser to the minister of health during implementation of the federal medicare plan, and for his work received a citation from the premier of Manitoba.

Died Jan. 31, 2001, aged 66; survived by his wife, Melba, and 5 children. His obituary stated: "He conquered the computer and was an avid fan at his son's hockey games."
