Caretaking Services

Our caretakers provide building cleaning services. They are also available to assist with everyday needs such as small moves between offices, some grounds work and clearing snow from around building entrances, changing lamps, repairing clocks, locking and unlocking facilities, and many other related tasks.

Other responsibilities include routine and specialized cleaning of University buildings, set up services for Special Functions, day to day operation of the campus swimming pool, maintenance of janitorial equipment, coordination of pest control services, assistance in recycling program, ice-making and caretaking services for Max Bell Centre and the Investors Group Athletic Centre.  Caretaking services also have the responsibility of, in some cases, responding to emergencies, e.g. spills, floods etc, visual inspection of fire extinguishers and emergency eyewash stations.
