The instructor may be someone who:

• Was instrumental in helping you make a successful academic and personal transition to The University of Manitoba.
• Stimulated your interest in the subject area he/she taught.
• Was enthusiastic, organized and facilitated effective learning.

The award winner will receive $500 and have his/her name posted on the Wall of Recognition, 2nd floor, University Centre. This year's award is in honour of Alexandra Pawlowsky, former Coordinator of ARTS 1110, who passed away on March 29, 2008.

Who is eligible to be nominated?
Any faculty member who has taught a University 1 course in the 2007-2008 Regular Session.

What courses qualify?
A University 1 course is defined as any course listed in the University 1 Course List in the back of the U1 STARTbook for the current academic year. This includes all 1000 level courses in Arts or Science.
